Research

I'm a Ph.D. student at Peking University working on condensed matter systems with a specific focus on nonperiodic systems (e.g., quasicrystals, amorphous solids, and incommensurate twisted multilayer systems). In nonperiodic systems, due to the absence of translational symmetry, momentum is no longer a good quantum number, and conventional Bloch's theorem does not apply. Therefore, there is a need to develop new theoretical tools to describe the electronic structure and topological physics of nonperiodic systems, which could potentially lead to the discovery of new physical mechanisms.
